  • The CPO's mission is to support our teachers, students, and parents by providing money for classroom materials, offering monthly enrichment activities and hosting community building events.

    We follow Parliamentary Procedure and Roberts Rule of Order

    Any single person can add an item to the agenda up to one week prior to a board meeting. If you would like to add something to the agenda, feel free to email us here.

  • All parents or guardians with a child enrolled in Carmelo Child Development Center as well as teachers and staff, are a part of the Carmelo Parent Organization and welcome to monthly meetings where we decide how to fundraise and how to best support our community.

    Monthly meetings, of the 2024-2025 school year, well be held in person and via zoom at 5:00 pm in the Carmelo School Library. Infants and pre-toddlers are more than welcome in the meeting. Child care and pizza dinner will be provided for all.

Our Team

  • Amanda Beiderwell - President

    This is Amanda’s second year on the CPO board. She is the Director of Events at Loma Vista, and loves bringing together her community. Her son Elmore is in room 1 this year. You can find the Beiderwell’s enjoying croissants at the beach every weekend.

  • Alix Angelis - Vice President

    This is Alix’s second year at Carmelo. Her daughter, James is in Room 5 this year. Alix is an actress and writer and interested in making school as eco-friendly and healthy as possible for our families.

  • Gino Signoracci - Treasurer

    Gino and family are 2nd-year Cubs, with a child in room 5 (and a sibling at River). They can often be spotted walking, running, or biking near Mission Ranch.

  • Lisa Benjamin - Secretary

    This is Lisa’s second year at Carmelo, and served as room parent last year. Her son, Huxley (2.5 years old) is in room 2; and daughter Harper is in Kinder at River school. She is a pediatric OT and loves playing outside with her family!
